Tree Stars looks at the relationships of sacred geometry and nature. Geometric shapes of perfection are modeled out of soft fabric. The triangular panels are aggregated into a stellated hexahedron. They are strung with ropes to be hung from the trees. The perfect nature of the geometry meets the imperfection of nature and trees. As the ends of the triangles are projected out with the ropes, they reach out to the nearest tree branch to connect and hang from. As the disorder of nature doesn’t meet the perfect geometry, it is bent and shifted creating moments of tugging and moments of slack in the once perfectly formed geometry. This is the play between nature and idealism.

They are hung and human level to be walked around and engaged with.

The tree stars are also illuminated at night to glow from the interior and generate a new space in the forest formed by the illumination and light.
